For HIS Glory is an Adoption Outreach ministry dedicated to placing orphaned children in Christian homes. With the knowledge that we are unable to do anything in and of ourselves, we submit this ministry to God and offer ourselves to be His hands extended.
For HIS Glory is unique in that our goal is to fulfill the Great Commission reaching out to a physically and spiritually starving nation and giving God all the glory as He works in an through us.
For HIS Glory is dedicated to evangelizing birth parents of voluntarily orphaned children and those living in the surrounding areas, providing education and discipleship and preparing them for eternity.
In July of 2003, I made my second trip to Haiti. I knew that God was calling me to do something more. There were two very powerful things that happened on that trip. One is outlined in the Lydia Miracle, and one in the Cite Soliel story. After returning from Cite Soliel, I was sure that God had called me to serve in Haiti. A Haitian friend of mine and I were talking about what we could do to start something new in Haiti. After visiting Cite Soliel and learning the plight of so many babies, I was sure that we should set something up to help the families there that cannot care for their children. It was during our discussion about Cite Soliel that my friend said, "Clearly God has called you to work here. Why do you not start your own orphanage?"That planted the seed. When I returned home I started the paperwork to become a 501(c)3, non profit organization. I needed at least three people to list on the limited Board of Directors. I called Erin and Paula and told them what the Lord put on my heart to do.We made plans to begin a new organization, which would focus on spreading the Gospel, while finding homes for children in need. In August, For His Glory Adoption Outreach was born and given 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit organization. Paula and Erin's adopted daughters came home from Haiti in late August. We celebrated Alyssa and Christina's homecoming in September as the three of us met in Nebraska to lay the foundations of For His Glory.Since then, God has opened many doors. There have been deep friendships that have come from this organization and we are richly blessed in so many ways. It's truly amazing to see God put together the inner workings of For His Glory. We now have six moms that serve regularly in the ministry and are adding to that regularly!
