Our Mission
As a Christian non-profit (501 C-3) ministry, FHG seeks to care for the orphans and fulfill the Great Commission by offering the good news of the Gospel to those individuals with whom we come in contact. We believe the best way to witness the great love of Christ is to live our lives worthy of the call we have received.
We recognize the Bible as God's complete revelation and accept no extra Biblical teaching as to its equal. We interpret the scriptures literally in a normative, grammatical sense. We believe that God's Word is the final authority in every decision that we make as a Board.
FHG accepts adoptive families that agree with the basic Biblical truths for salvation presented in this Statement of Faith, although they may differ on other points. However, those that serve the Lord as Board members and staff at FHG must be in total agreement with this Statement of Faith. FHG seeks to maintain unity by emphasizing salvation by the grace of God through Jesus Christ, rather than oppose difference.
1.We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
2.We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3.We believe that Jesus was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is the only true Messiah.
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word, and deed, becoming accountable upon reaching moral responsibility.
5.We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that whoever believes in Him is justified on the basis of His shed blood. We believe that Jesus is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life: No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:16)
6.We believe in the literal bodily resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life there for us as our Eternal Advocate.
7. We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit.
8.We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just unto everlasting blessedness and of the unjust unto everlasting conscious punishment.
9.We believe that there is no profit if a man gains the world but loses his soul. Therefore, we believe that as a Board, we must first seek and serve the Lord, then our families, and then our ministry. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain." (Psalm 127:1)
10. We believe that the Lord brings all increase, and that as fruit is born of this ministry, it is in Him we glory. "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:31)
Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows ME,
That I am the LORD, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and
righteousness in the earth.
For in these things I delight, says the Lord.
(Jeremiah 9:23-24)
