It has been a long time since I have shared my thoughts and what is happening because we have had much going on here.

In 2004 God gave me a vision to build a Christ-centered community where all the children can be raise according to His words, taught good strong values, and equipping to face all of life's challenges.  It will be a place where God dwells.  That's why my dream is to plant a flag with the writing of "Jehovah Schamma" which means "The LORD is here."

It started happening when we used to receive many children and we didn't have enough room to receive them.  There are some children who were brought here since we are a crèche we cannot take them in.  The Lord was telling me they need a chance to have a better life than they have now.  They need to be in an environment where they feel loved and happy, where they can learn to be a man and woman in their life.  I started to have the vision about a big piece of land where we can have an equipped facility, a good environment for those children to grow up.

In 2006 when we had to rent a bigger house it was so challenging financially.  It was hard for us to decide to stay in the small house where we were or rent a bigger house.  It was like we were at an intersection.  If we go further we'll go up, and if we stop going further we'll go down.  We decided to go up and rent the facility we have now.  Since then God has put it in my heart that we need to move up because we don't have enough room here to do what he wants us to do.  That's why we kept looking for land until we found the new land.

It was an exciting moment at the beginning of June 2010 when we handed the check to the landowner. It was a dream that came true.  We are so happy and so grateful to God for providing the land for the vision He has given me.

We want to raise a generation of children that can influence the society later.  That can influence the influencers of the Haitian society.  We are going to be models to show and teach other people how they can live for God and how they can be a good citizen where God calls or puts them.  We believe the Lord has a special plan for this country but He wants us to teach His people how to live properly.  That's why He said in Hosea ?My people are perishing because of lack of knowledge'.  The best way we can be sure that Haiti will be a better country is when we invest in the children, which will be the next generation.

We will have a church to share the Gospel to equip Christian leaders and to have a place to praise God all the time.  We want to have a house for the children who will be adopted, and a house for children who will call Haiti their home.  All the children will have a better place to learn and grow while they are in the adoption process.  They will have better attention of the nannies since they will live in family groups with house parents and other children.  They will be part of a community where the vision culture habits will be Christ-centered.  They will have a better environment that will encourage them to be godly men and women.

Spiritual education and academic education are the core of this new generation.  That's why we want to have schools to serve the children at our facility, as well as the children in the surrounding community.  When students complete high school, they will be given the opportunity to attend the university or a trade school to further their skills.  A medical center will provide medical care for the children and community, staff housing will eliminate travel expenses for some employees, and a playground and soccer fields will provide a place for the children to play together.

We will also have land for growing corn, beans, and sweet potatoes.  Trees will give us mangoes, lemons, avocados, plantains, bread fruit, and bananas.  Our goal is to work toward self-sufficiency so that we can make sure we have food for the children all the time.  Part of the land will be used to allow the children to learn agricultural practices.  The idea in Haiti is that in order to fight against hunger here, they need to know how to take care of gardens.  We will have livestock, including cows, goats, chickens, turkeys, and rabbits.  Wells will give us water for the children and gardens, and a guest house will be constructed to host our missionaries and visitors.

I would like to call people to be part of this.  I cannot do it myself only.  Part of it in helping make this vision a reality is coming to serve in any of the areas mentioned earlier, and in being a channel of blessings for the Haitian people.  To make this happen, we need people to partner with us-financially, prayerfully, and physically.

God is so faithful to show us once again that He wants to take this ministry to another level for the glory of His name.  We want to humble ourselves to let Him use us as vessels/tools in his hands to make a difference in the children's lives.  To give homes to the homeless, and to give hope to the hopeless.
