For His Glory offers mission trips several times each year. The purpose of these trips is to follow the instructions we are given in James 1:27 - to look after orphans and widows in their distress. Short term mission teams do this by serving the children and staff at the orphanage in Haiti. We pray that through your experiences here, you will recognize God's command to care for the orphan, and that you will share this passion and awareness with others.
Some of the ways a team can serve include:
- Holding an art, music, or sports camp for the children
- Training teachers and nannies in the following areas: infant/early childhood, primary grades, music, art, PE
- Preparing and hosting a Vacation Bible School program
- Holding a medical clinic (coordinated through Dr. Tawnya Constantino)
- Construction projects (especially as we begin to build the new facility)
These are some, but not all of the ways you may find yourself serving while in Haiti. We welcome other ideas, and look forward to working with you to best use the skills of your team. For more information on scheduling a short-term mission trip with the orphanage, contact our Missions Coordinator, Angie Koch.
We are currently scheduling trips for 2012.
